SUCCESS STORIES:
FOR A MAJOR HEALTHCARE INSURANCE COMPANY:
Our goal was to staff and support a successful Project Management Office for the Informatics Systems Support (ISS) group. We delivered this specific need as a prime vendor for the Client under a five-year single source award for staffing.
REQUIREMENT:
• Support existing data warehouse environment (MC Source and Star Sentinel).
• Successfully deploy the technology infrastructure required for Care Coordination.
• Support the integration of informatics activities at an enterprise-wide level.
VRI SOLUTION:
VRI staffed a team of five, which consisted of one Senior PM, two PMs, one Business Analyst and one Project Coordinator to develop and oversee the implementation of project management processes, procedures, policies and training within the ISS group.
Our strategy utilized the Project Management Institute’s process groups and the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
Currently the PMAC is up and running smoothly. We are currently in discussions with additional plan executives to establish similar models for their particular areas of business.
VRI ACCOMPLISHED:
• Improved operational efficiency of the IT Informatics Systems Support department.
• Provided a consistent project management methodology for all IT Informatics projects.
• Centralized project information for easy access and reference.
• Provided a standard reporting methodology for project status.
• Ensured appropriate levels of approval prior to implementing new projects.
